Nearly forty years of safeguarding the stories that
shaped our
world.
Founded by a group of heritage professionals and cultural advocates, Ancestra began as a response to the growing need for sustainable preservation practices.
Our projects span continents and centuries: from restoring ancient stonework to digitizing fragile archives and reviving disappearing crafts. But beyond preservation, we strive to create bridges between people and their shared past, reminding the world that heritage belongs to everyone.

Our mission is to safeguard historic sites, artifacts, and cultural expressions that face threats from neglect, conflict, or the passage of time. By engaging in restoration and documentation efforts, we breathe new life into history.

Raising awareness is key to preservation. Through workshops and educational outreach, we inspire all ages to value and protect heritage. Our programs offer hands-on experiences with historians, showcasing successful preservation stories to highlight the impact of collective efforts.

Genuine preservation starts at the grassroots level. We work hand-in-hand with local communities, artisans, and cultural leaders to maintain traditions, generate employment, and instill pride in our collective heritage.

We link heritage with sustainability by using eco-friendly practices in preservation. Our projects incorporate renewable energy and sustainable materials, protecting cultural treasures while supporting a healthier planet.
